I got back from a week of touring around Jordan. It's really a beautiful country. Jesus' baptism site, the Dead Sea, Aqaba at The Red Sea, Wadi Rum, Petra. Very glorious.

Ranting.
Archaeology sucks. It's a lot of work, and all you do is break things and destroy things. I was digging today, and because we dig blind (we can't see through the dirt), I kept breaking pottery. And it's hot.
I don't mean to complain, but I'm really ready for this week trip to southern Jordan. Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Petra and the like. It'll be great: hotel rooms, and western toilets.
