This is me.

I leave for Jordan in 4 days. Wow, how fast has part one of the summer gone. Part 2, coming up soon. So, what has part one of the summer given me? Let me reminisce.

a. I saw my family a total of 4 days in 7 weeks. I went home for my first weekend after school, and it was great. I also saw them for a minute on my way to see Christine (more later) and played mini-golf with Laura. We both sucked, it was fun. Then I saw them in Rogers for dinner and shopping one Thursday evening. I also talked with Amy more on the phone in the last 6 weeks than in the previous 3 months. Very enjoyable.

b. I saw a beautiful girl in Lincoln. Christine allowed me to visit her for a long Memorial day weekend. I had an awesome time with her in Lincoln, and we watched like 10 episodes of Heroes (great show). I'm really going to miss you while I'm gone in Jordan.

c. I had a great job. I've been working in Admissions at JBU for the last 6 weeks. I've been working on student visits, collating parent information packets for Early Registration, sitting around, making videos of JBU, and having a great time with the Admissions team.

d. Had some great friends. So many evenings have been spent with the Summer Siloam Crew. On varying occasions: Jordan and Kelsey, Claire and Joel, Ted, Park and Kaitlyn, Jason, Blake, and plenty of others. We saw Narnia dressed up as characters from epic movies other than Narnia, we went to the new and improved Koala park, and hung out at everyone's "houses."

e. I've been cooking dinner for myself. It's really cool to have a kitchen, and go shopping for food, and then cooking, even if the parents said they'd pay for the food. It's quite an experience to do that. And quite an experience to have to do chores for a place you call your own: cleaning, vacuuming, more cleaning, and mowing are all crazy.

f. I bought a new camera. The Canon Rebel XT is my new baby which I got on Friday, and I've been taking pictures ever since. I'm not a good photographer, but i've taken some great pics of the Wakefield's house (where I'm house sitting), downtown area, and around Admissions. I'm gonna start a Flickr soon, so check it out! But in the meantime, here are some great decent pictures.

beautiful flowers from the back yard.

the stupid dog---Riley. He barks at everyone who walks in the door, and wakes me up early in the morning, but overall, a fun dog.

the stack of papers in the admissions building which i have been printing and ordering for 4 days. I finally finished this afternoon.

Me, taking the first picture of me with my new camera. It came with a IR remote control to take pictures.

My dinner for the last 3 nights (i eat it with vegetables too, mom). It's a hamburger helper.

Kelsey giving Ted the hat from Western Germany that we bought in Gentry. Joel, Kelsey and I bought it for Ted's 21st birthday. (we're getting old!)

The boys at New Life Ranch. We were waiting next to the river for the friday night chapel service to start. I think I caught a great expression in Jordan's face.

ya, definitely don't like the look of the dog . . . You're catching on with the camera pretty quickly!
